Ingredients:
8 green New Mexico chiles that have been roasted, peeled and chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 T. vegetable oil
½ tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 medium tomato chopped (Optional)
2 Cups Water
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in the vegetable oil until softened, Add the remaining ingredients and cook on a simmer for 30 minutes.
Sauce can be blended if you prefer a smoother sauce. This freezes very well.
