Asian Influenced Diablo Shrimp

This Diablo Shrimp has an Asian influence with the ginger, vinegar based hot sauce and Sriracha Sauce.

What makes it Diablo Shrimp?

Hot Sauce
Red Pepper Flakes
Sriracha Sauce
And with those choices – you can make it as hot and spicy as you want! Easy to Follow recipe!
Diablo Shrimp
Have 3 cups of cooked rice – Basmati or Jasmine is nice – ready to go because this dish will cook fast!

Ingredients:

1/3 Cup light brown sugar
3 Tbs. fresh orange juice
2 Tbs. Hot Sauce, Like Franks or your favorite
2 Tbs. rice vinegar
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes – and use for garnish as well
Kosher Salt
1 1/4 lb. prepared shrimp
3 Tbs. cornstarch
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. fresh grated ginger
3 cloves of garlic grated
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
Sriracha Sauce and cilantro leaves for garnish

How to Cook:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, orange juice, hotsauce, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes and 1/2 teaspoon salt and set aside.
Prepare the shrimp by removing the shells and deveining them.  Dry shrimp well with a paper towel and add to a large bowl. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the shrimp and toss to coat.
Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat and fry the shrimp until pink – about 1 minute per side. Toss in the ginger and garlic, keep stirring about a minute more.
Add the sauce mixture, rice and scallions. Cook until all ingredients are warmed through. About 3 minutes
Garnish with more red pepper flakes, drizzle your desired amount of Sriracha Sauce on top and add cilantro leaves.
Only takes about 20 minutes! Enjoy!
