There’s nothing like a steamy, hearty bowl of soup on a wintry day. This may sound like an unusual combination – but trust us – you gotta make this! Original recipe from The Pink Adobe.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup onion ; chopped
1/2 cup celery ; chopped
1/4 cup butter
2 T. flour
16 oz chicken broth
2 cups half and half
8 oz brie cheese ; rind removed and cheese cut into small pieces
2 cans chopped green chiles ; 4 oz.
Salt and pepper to taste
How to Make:
Sauté onion and celery in butter in pan until tender. Add flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Whisk in chicken broth gradually. Add half and half, cheese, green chiles, salt and pepper. Cook until cheese melts and soup is smooth, stirring constantly. Ladle into soup bowls and enjoy.
