Peach Habañero Hot Sauce

August is National Peach Month and here is a simple recipe for a Hot, hot sauce!

Ingredients

4 peaches, peeled and diced

1/2 a medium onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

2 teaspoons sea salt

5 habanero peppers, stems and seeds removed and cut in half

Instructions

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except habanero peppers

Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down and simmer for five minutes

Add the habanero peppers and simmer for one more minute

Blend the mixture with an immersion blender in the saucepan until smooth. You can use a blender but be sure to let the mixture cool down for 15 minutes before blending! Beware!! Do Not Inhale!

Let the sauce cool and bottle in yoiur choice of container.
