This sweet balsamic glazed Pork Loin is not only tasty but so easy to make – use your slow cooker! That way, your stove (if you have one) and stove top will be clear for other dishes.
Ingredients:
2 pounds of pork loin
1 Teaspoon ground sage
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1/2 cup water
Glaze:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbs. of cornstarch
1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 Tbs. soy sauce
Directions:
Mix the sage, salt, pepper and garlic and rub over the tenderloin
Place 1/2 c. water in the slow cooker, place the loin inside and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
An hour before the loin is done, in a small sauce pan mix the ingredients for the glaze. Heat over medium heat and stir until the sauce is thickened – 4 to 5 minutes.
Brush the glaze over the loin about every 10 – 15 minutes the last hour of cooking.
If you want a crunchier glaze, place the loin on a baking pan and place under the broiler until bubbly and caramelized more. Repeat if you wish.
Serve remaining glaze on the side.
